For 2025, The Tour is set to be bigger and better than ever because we're celebrating 10 years since the return of The Tour, following its re-launch in 2015.
The original Tour of Tameside was created by Ron Hill MBE back in 1981 and ran for twenty years until 2000. The event attracted hundreds of runners from across the UK as well as elite international runners, who received sponsorship to compete in the original six-day challenge.
To celebrate this 10-year milestone, we're offering the chance to run the Full Tour at a new bundle price of £10 if you’re UKA affiliated and £12 for all other entrants. What’s more, we’re introducing more options to personalise your event experience with the medals, t-shirts and memento merchandise that you'd love to get your hands on to celebrate your success and incredible achievement.
For runners who simply want to run without taking home a medal or t-shirt, that's no problem! Book an individual race for £7 or £5 if you are UKA affiliated and enjoy all the benefits of chip-timed results, the camaraderie of local community supporters, water stations and marshals.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THE TOUR’S MERCHANDISE THIS YEAR?
We’ve introduced the coveted Full Tour t-shirt with a brand-new exclusive design for £18 plus VAT which runners always love to get their hands on. Simply pop one in the basket at checkout when booking your Full Tour bundle. Likewise, medals are an optional purchase (but we think you’re going to love this year’s designs!) and you can get your hands on all four interlocking medals for £25 including VAT or individual race medals for £8 each.
